Plugins you must have for WordPress

I’ve been working on a blog at rehabpilatespt.com and in the course of researching useful plugins I thought I would compile the list below for anyone interested in adding to your out-of-the-box set already installed:

  1. WP-Polls – A very nice dhtml interface that does not require a page refresh or redirection for results. Polls are an excellent way to take the pulse of your visitors. Polling should be an active part of any marketing plan for a website.
  2. Google XML Sitemaps and All In One SEO Pack – With SEO (search engine optimization) being so important for any web site these days its hard to imagine going without these plugins unless you’re a real glutton for punishment.
  3. Cforms II – A fantastic, highly customizeable, contact forms plugin. It comes with PHPMAILERII which provides enhanced authentication and encryption. It even has Ajax captchas! Contact forms are still a preferable way for your readers or customers to ask questions, make complaints or give praise.

  1. I’m supporting this idea all the way! I can not imagine who would disagree with it. On the whole – make posts like this more often.
